The Forest Route Marker (MUTCD M1-8) is the brown, arrowhead-shaped shield that numbers roads in the Forest Service system — shown on maps and signs as "FSR 26", "Forest Route 26", or "FR 26". It appears at intersections and as periodic reassurance along the route. The generator will take a route number and produce the standard shield plus optional "FOREST ROUTE" legend band.
